For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, I am a long standing Artist within the World of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption since 2003. I am a Tutor for Simply Reborn Online Classes and I also teach Live Classes on a regular basis.

I have been lucky enough to Judge many Reborn and OOAK competition over the years, including IDEX, Colliii and DD Awards, and have been featured in many Magazine and news paper articles, including having 2 front cover babies for Discover Dolls Magazine.  The Bohemian Doll Museum in the Czech Republic have purchased and commissioned many of my OOAK and Reborn babies.

Baby Simon really does look and feel like a real new born baby, he is so sweet and very realistic. I have totally fallen in love with this baby, from the moment I started working on bringing him to life, he has had a special place in my heart, this is one baby I am really going to find hard parting with.  You can not help, but look at this sweet baby and think he really is real!  I am confident that Simon will bring years of pleasure to his new Mum. He has a multitude of VERY soft baby blemishes, deep veining, & capillaries.

 

Baby Simon has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface, I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to his skin.  

I have taken some really close photographical shots of Simon, you would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin! His little plump lips have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability. I have not used any texture on this baby so his skin still feels soft and smooth to the touch.

Simon has beautiful Painted hair, I have always painted my OOAK Preemie sculpts and always loved the effect and illusion of very fine down like hair. Each strand of hair is individually painted to give a real sense of depth. He has a beautiful swirled crown.

I know painted hair is not to everyone’s taste, but it really does have to be seen to appreciate the realism it portraits.  Simon has baby brown hair and beautifully painted eyebrows, he has human hair eyelashes.

Simon has a German made white doe suede body, he has traditional cotter pin (As used in quality Artist bears) jointed shoulders and hips which make posing him just so easy. There are NO cable ties used on this gorgeous baby boy.

Simon is filled with a combination of glass beads, baby fat and faux fleece; he is very soft and cuddly. His limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making him the most life like and balanced babe.

Please remember Precious Simon is not intended as a toy, he is a quality Collector Doll.  Simon contains a small "Earth Magnet" these magnets are very strong and can effect Electrical equipment such as pacemakers, if you would like the Magnetic Dummy removed, please let me know.
