Maribel & her Lovely Husband have done a Superb job producing this beautiful kit.

As far as I am aware this is the FIRST EVER AUTHENTIC REPLICA kit to be Produced by anyone for the Reborn Market. The kits have been cast directly from the Original sculpt, this allows each kit to retain every single little detail that was in the sculpt, for me as a Reborn & Sculpting Artist as well as a producer of kits, this was an amazing experience to Reborn this kit, it was like painting the actual One Of A Kind sculpted doll.

I want to say Thank you to Maribel & her Hubby for all their hard work, and for the Honour of Reborning the First Prototype of this amazing kit.

For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, my name is Ruth, I am a military wife and mother to 5 fantastic children, I am a long standing Artist within the World of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption now since 2003 and have adopted out over 290 babies to happy new Mums.

I am a Master Artist Tutor on the Simply Reborn Ltd. online classes, established in 2003 and having had over 1000 Reborn Artists pass through our classes. We have a great team of Master Artists offering their knowledge and guidance to our members. I LOVE to help other achieve their goals in the wonderful Art of Reborns.

In 2007 I was one of the Judges for the IDEX Reborn Competition in the USA, this was a great honour, I was also selected as one of only three Judges for the Colliii Awards 2009. Precious~Dreams babies have appeared in several Magazines including having the FIRST Reborn front cover for Discover Dolls Magazine.

I can not express the love that I have felt whilst creating this Precious baby.  I love all the babies I create, but *My Baby* has something special about her. She is wonderful to hold and just looks amazingly realistic, I am truly going to find it hard sending this baby to her new Mum or Dad, but I know she will bring many years of happiness to whom ever is lucky enough to adopt her.

I have taken the greatest care possible when painting this precious baby, each set of skin tones is laid down individually in such a way that the paint soaks into the vinyl leaving a flawless finish.

One of my favourite parts of the reborning process is making each baby ''feel'' real, I weight my babies so that they have the perfect balance, *My baby's* head will still need to be supported when you lift her. She is just the most wonderful baby to hold, she is just a true delight!

 I take great care when sending my babies home, if baby is travelling to Australia I will happily send filling samples for customs.

 

 

 

 

I have given *My Baby* the most beautiful mottled baby skin tones, with a multitude of very subtle blotches and baby blemishes, veining, capillaries and birth marks, whilst maintaining a beautiful newborn and very realistic complexion.  

You can not help, but look at this sweet baby and think she really is real! I just could not resist giving this baby a mop of Black hair, my friends baby was born a couple of weeks ago and she has unbelievable jet black hair, I used this as inspiration for *My Baby*

*My Baby*  has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface.

 I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to the skin, I have not used texture on this baby, she is still beautifully smooth to the touch.  I have taken some really close shots of  her detailing,

You would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin!

Her lips have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability. she has micro rooted  lashes and delicate painted eyebrows.

 

 

 

 

*My Baby* has the most amazing mop of jet black hair, I used the best Mohair possible for this beautiful babe from "Simply Reborn" it is beautiful and soft and has such a wonderful natural sheen. *My Baby's* curls are completely natural too! All you need to do it dampen the hair, comb it through and her curls will spring back :)

 

I have MICRO Rooted her hair at the sides, this is where you would normally find those soft down like hairs, I have then HAND Rooted the rest of her hair, I would not be able to achieve this style or density in the hair by Micro rooting, so I opted to hand root her hair to achieve this amazing head of black hair ... A Classic Precious Dreams statement!

 

 

 

 

*My baby* has a German made *Ruby Hues* doe suede body, with Cotter Pin jointed shoulders and hips which make posing her so easy and a real pleasure.

She is filled with a combination of baby fat in her Body and faux fleece; which makes her extremely soft and cuddly. her limbs are weighted with ultra granule chrystalight glass beads making her the most life like and balanced babe.
