For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, my name is Ruth, I am a military wife and mother to 5 fantastic children, I am a long standing Artist within the World of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption now since 2003 and have adopted out over 290 babies to happy new Mums.

I am a Master Artist Tutor on the Simply Reborn Ltd. online classes, established in 2003 and having had over 1000 Reborn Artists pass through our classes. We have a great team of Master Artists offering their knowledge and guidance to our members. I LOVE to help other achieve their goals in the wonderful Art of Reborns.

In 2007 I was one of the Judges for the IDEX Reborn Competition in the USA, this was a great honour, I was also selected as one of only three Judges for the Colliii Awards 2009. Precious~Dreams babies have appeared in several Magazines including having the FIRST Reborn front cover for Discover Dolls Magazine.

 

This amazing baby has totally stolen my heart, This kit is one of my favourite Tina Kewy sculpts, Logan has such a realistic head shape and his features are so typical of a newborn baby, he is not the prettiest baby I have ever worked on, but he is one of the most truly lifelike, and one baby I will find extremely hard to kiss goodbye.

I have taken the greatest care possible when painting this precious baby, each set of skin tones is laid down individually in such a way that the paint soaks into the vinyl leaving a flawless finish. I have also painted the baby fine hair.

One of my favourite parts of the reborning process is making each baby ''feel'' real, I weight my babies so that they have the perfect balance, Buba's head will still need to be supported when you lift him. He is irresistible to cuddle and is wonderful to hold in your arms.

 I take great care when sending my babies home, if baby is travelling to Australia I will happily send filling samples for customs.

 

 

 

 

Baby Logan really does look and feel like a real baby just born, he is so sweet and very realistic. Because Logan has quarter vinyl limbs he just snuggles up into your arms like a real sleeping baby, he is fabulous to pose and is just adorable.

I have given Logan the most detailed mottled baby skin tones, with a multitude of very subtle blotches and baby blemishes, veining, capillaries and birth marks, whilst maintaining a beautiful soft complexion just like a newborn baby.  

You can not help, but look at this sweet baby and think he really is real! This sweet baby has totally captured my heart and I am going to find it hard to send him to a new home, but I am confident that he will bring years of pleasure to his new Mum or Dad.

Baby Logan  has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface.

 I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to the skin.  I have taken some nice close shots of  Logan's detailing, You would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin!

His lips and nails have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability. Logan has micro rooted  lashes and delicate painted eyebrows.

 

 

Logan has beautiful Painted hair, I have always painted my OOAK Preemie sculpts and always loved the effect and illusion of very fine down like hair. Each strand of hair is individually painted to give a real sense of depth.

I know painted hair is not to everyone’s taste, but it really does have to be seen to appreciate the realism it portraits. I still love rooting, but am swaying more towards the painted hair with each baby I create. This cutie has a light brown shade of hair which has been carefully painted to include those beautiful soft *down* like hairs that new babies often have.

Whilst painting Logan's hair I also made a step by step picture Tutorial which is now being used on the Simply Reborn Online Classes, I really enjoyed doing this for my fellow Artists.

 

 

Logan has a Spearsons doe suede body, with disc jointed shoulders and hips which make posing him, a real pleasure.

He is filled with a combination of glass beads and faux fleece; which make him extremely soft and cuddly. The limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making Baby Logan the most life like and balanced babe.
