For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, I am a long standing Artist within the world of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption since 2003. I am the Owner of Simply Reborn Limited, who offer kits, supplies and classes.  I also teach live on a regular basis.

I am lucky to have over 20 of my babies displayed in a doll museum in the Czech Republic and they have now dedicated a section solely for my OOAK and Reborn babies.

I have had the honour of judging many Reborn and OOAK competitions over the years, including IDEX, Colliii and DD Awards, and have been featured in many magazine and news paper articles, including having 2 front cover babies for Discover Dolls magazine.

I have taken the greatest care possible when painting this precious baby, each set of skin tones is laid down individually in such a way that the paint soaks into the vinyl leaving a flawless finish. I have also painted Josie's baby fine hair.

One of my favourite parts of the reborning process is making each baby ''feel'' real, I weight my babies so that they have the perfect balance, Buba's head will still need to be supported when you lift her.
 

 

 

 

Baby Josie really does look and feel like a real newborn baby , she is so sweet and very realistic. You certainly know when you have this baby in your arms, you just need to snuggle her close!

I have given Josie the most beautiful mottled newborn complexion.  You can not help, but look at this sweet baby and think she really is real! Josie has totally captured my heart and I am going to find it hard to send her to a new home, but I am confident that she will bring years of pleasure to her new Mum. The moment this kit arrived in my Nursery, I just knew she would be a special baby, this is one of the sweetest Reva Babies and I am totally in love with her.

Baby Josie has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface, I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to her skin.  

I have taken some really close Photographic shots of Josie, you would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin! Josie's lips have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability. I have NOT used any texture on this baby, so her skin still feels soft and smooth to the touch.

Josie has beautiful Painted hair, I have always painted my OOAK Preemie sculpts and always loved the effect and illusion of very fine down like hair. Each strand of hair is individually painted to give a real sense of depth. She has a beautiful swirled crown.

I know painted hair is not to everyone’s taste, but it really does have to be seen in person to appreciate the realism it portraits.  Baby Josie has baby Brown hair and beautifully painted eyebrows and human hair micro rooted eyelashes.

 

 

Sweet baby Josie has a German made white doe suede body, she has traditional cotter pin (As used in quality Artist bears) jointed shoulders and hips which make posing her just so easy. There are NO cable ties used on this gorgeous baby girl.

Josie is filled with a combination of glass beads, baby fat and faux fleece; she is very soft and cuddly, she just melts into your arms. Her limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making her the most life like and balanced babe.
