For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, I am a long standing Artist within the World of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption since 2003. I am a Tutor for Simply Reborn Online Classes and I also teach live on a regular basis.  I am lucky to have many babies displayed in a Doll Museum and they have now dedicated a section solely for my OOAK and Reborn Babies.

Baby Carlton really does look and feel like a real Premature baby he has very detailed preemie baby skin tones, including Mila, capillaries, deep veining and little birthing blemishes, Preemie babies can have almost translucent skin when they are so tiny, I have tried to replicate this on Carlton's skin after studying many preemie photographs.
 
You can not help, but look at this sweet baby and think he really is real! Carlton and his triplet brothers Chester and Connor have just stolen my heart.

Baby Carlton has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface, I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to his skin.  

I have taken some really close shot of Carlton, you would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin! Carlton's lips have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability.  I have NOT used any texture on this baby, so his skin still feels soft and smooth to the touch.

Carlton has beautiful Painted hair, I have always painted my OOAK Preemie sculpts and always loved the effect and illusion of very fine down like hair. Each strand of hair is individually painted to give a real sense of depth. He has a beautiful swirled crown and super fine hairs just like the fine baby downing often seen on babies.

I know painted hair is not to everyone’s taste, but it really does have to be seen to appreciate the realism it portraits.  Carlton has baby brown hair and beautifully painted eyebrows and human hair micro rooted eyelashes.

Carlton has a German made, white doe suede body, he has traditional cotter pin (As used in quality Artist bears) jointed shoulders and hips which make posing him just so easy. There are NO cable ties used on this gorgeous baby boy.

He is filled with a combination of glass beads, baby fat and faux fleece; so he is very soft and cuddly. His limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making him the most life like and balanced babe.
