Below is an overview of how my babies are created. Not every baby is created with the same features or details, please check on the "At A Glance" listing to see the individual features of this precious baby.  I have decided to change my Page layout so that you can focus more on the photographs.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of Genesis heat set paint. Your Affordababe has been painted using a technique which allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface, I only ever cure the paint twice during the whole painting process, this allows the paint to blend, creating an amazing translucency to the finished skin. 

Your Affordababe DOES NOT have any texture on the skin, so it always feels soft and smooth to the touch.  There is no need to add varnish all over the vinyl, the Genesis heat set paints when used correctly are permanent.

The lips and nails are realistically painted and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability.

I use the best quality "Simply Reborn" German made white doe suede bodies, these bodies are professionally sewn and have traditional cotter pin (as used in quality artist bears) jointed shoulders and hips which make posing baby just so easy. There are NO cable ties used on my precious babies, so there are no little lumps where the limbs are attached to the body, the bodies I use give a seamless finish.

Your Affordababe is filled with a combination of glass beads, baby fat and faux fleece; they are always very soft and cuddly, but have a very realistic weight in relation to the represented age of the baby. The limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making my babies the most life like and balanced babies.

For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, I am a long standing Artist within the world of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption since 2003 being one of the first few Artists in the United Kingdom.

I am the Owner of Simply Reborn Limited, where we produce kits, and offer supplies and classes.  I also teach live on a regular basis.

I am lucky to have over 20 of my babies displayed in The Panenek Museum in the Czech Republic and they have now dedicated a section solely for my OOAK and Reborn babies.

I have had the honour of judging many Reborn and OOAK competitions over the years, including IDEX, Colliii and DD Awards, and have been featured in many magazine and news paper articles, including having 2 front cover babies for Discover Dolls magazine.

 I am a member of the following Guilds GERBA, ACOF, La Bella Artisan Guild D.A.D.E, CRIB, PROUD, MAMRH, IIORA, Friendships In Reborning.
